Chères et chers camarades,
Au nom de la Ligue de la jeunesse communiste du Canada, nous vous offrons nos salutations chaleureuses, nos voeux révolutionnaires et notre solidarité militante à l'occasion du 88e anniversaire du Parti communiste du Canada.
Tout au long de l'histoire du mouvement communiste du Canada, les relations entre le Parti communiste et la Ligue de la jeunesse communiste et ses différents prédécesseurs ont pris diverses formes, toujours caractérisées par de profonds liens d'unité idéologique et de buts, de solidarité et d'amitié.
En cette occasion, nous nous souvenons qu'un grand nombre des camarades qui ont fondé notre Parti bien-aimé il y a plusieurs années dans une grange située près de Guelph, en Ontario, étaient de jeunes travailleurs inspirés par la victoire de la Révolution des ouvriers et des paysans russes et par la création de l'Union soviétique en 1917.
Depuis lors, au cours de toute notre histoire, les jeunes ont joué un rôle important dans chacune des plus importantes luttes menées par le Parti communiste, entre autres, la célèbre marche des chômeurs vers Ottawa, l'héroïque bataillon Mackenzie-Papineau, la solidarité avec les luttes du peuple vietnamien, la riposte contre la trahison constituée par l'Accord de libre-échange nord-américain.
Aujourd'hui, la Ligue des jeunes communistes, recréé, lutte à nouveau coude à coude avec le Parti communiste pour la paix, l'emploi, l'éducation, les droits démocratiques, la souveraineté du Canada, une solution démocratique à la question nationale et, bien sûr, le socialisme.
Nous sommes heureux de continuer à renforcer les relations entre nos deux organisations et à travailler collectivement pour construire un mouvement communiste pan-canadien puissant et uni.

Throughout the history of the Communist movement in
On this day we are reminded that many of those comrades formed our beloved party so many years ago in a barn near Guelph, Ontario, were young workers inspired by the triumph of the Russian workers and peasants revolution and the establishment of the Soviet Union in 1917.
Throughout history ever since, young people have played an important role in each of the most significant struggles taken on by the Communist Party. Some examples include the famous On-to-Ottawa Trek, the heroic Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion, solidarity with the struggles of the Vietnamese people, and the fightback against the NAFTA sellout.
Today the Young Communist League continues to stand with the Communist Party in our struggles for peace, jobs, education, democratic rights, Canadian sovereignty, a democratic solution to the national question, and, of course, socialism.
We look forward to continuing to strengthen the relationship between our two organizations and working collectively to build a strong, united pan-Canadian Communist movement.
